When a white American speaks about Europeans, doesn't he realize he's speaking about himself?

ME:

I am speaking here as a profesional propagandist and not as a social critic. I have heard Norwegian and Danes and Swedes talk about their different national characteristics. The mentality a politician has to deal with in each country is subtlety different in each case. The same is very true from state to state in the US.

In my own family I will speak to one of my own brothers differently from the way I would speak to another brother to convince him of the same thing. It's all in the family, but not every member of your family is the same.

I married a European woman. I have spoken European languages. I see what strikes me as a difference that might make your job a bit harder.

If it isn't true, neither of us should lose any sleep over it.

It's your call.

If you were to ask somebody who lived in New York where the midwest IS, they may say Tennesee or Kentucky. If you asked somebody in Tennesee or Kentucky where the midwest IS they may say Iowa or Missouri. We tend to see the world from our own center of the universe and this applies to Nations, how they view their national idenity in reguards to ther nations, its the perspective.
