The sexual taste for the "exotic" per se, where it does exist, is not only found exclusively among whites, but it presumes the SUPREMACY of those whites. It's a leftover from the days of colonialism, when our race ruled the earth. To assume that the phenomenon is universal, as Al Parker does, is nothing but racial and temporal provincialism.

The white lover of the "exotic" is simply the Great White Conqueror turned literary and sentimental. It is a leftover indulgence of the 19th century plutocracy, like big game hunting or missionary work. To understand it, one must understand that it was white people who went to Borneo to indulge their curiosity about the headhunters. The Borneo headhunters did not travel to Europe to study US.

Within the white race, there's also an element of status-seeking in this "taste for the exotic." A taste for brown skin is flaunted as a status symbol and seldom reflects an honest preference. Black bedmates are usually taken by whites to indicate that they are "sophisticated" and "educated" and "worldly," not because of any intrinsic attraction to black skin, bulging lips, and nappy hair. These tend to be the same white people who are likely to serve an exotic, smelly, runny cheese at their dinner parties rather than a humble cheddar, and for exactly the same reason. What would it do for one's social status to serve a run-of-the-mill cheese that people actually LIKE?

But as I said, this "attraction to the exotic" is not only confined to whites, and generally to elite whites, but also to whites of a certain era. It's a remnant from the days when whites ruled the earth. As we settle into our new role as an increasingly embattled and dispossessed minority within our own countries, however, I predict we'll be too busy safeguarding our own white skin to be sexually infatuated with the copper-colored tide in which we're drowning. The "exotic" won't seem quite so charming once THEY'RE ruling US.

You say "think a little" when you really mean "think differently." Being a group participant for some time, I should be able to see the points of what's being said. Maybe it's just me. I will try to reply to your response:

Referring to your second and third rebuttals, I admit I cannot prove that people do or do not want to be white. We don't have a survey -- only anecdotal stuff, ie: what you saw on a TV commercial in India, the prevalence of hair straightening among black women, the number of women that dye their hair blond, rich black men that like white women, etc.

I'll answer the first point. First of all, the label of prostitute is applied inappropriately because the term also applies to women who would chose a richer white man over a poorer white man. More importantly, however, it does not say anywhere that women prefer white men because they want to avoid ugly offspring. It could just as well be they want a man that fits their image of an ideal partner, something ingrained. When the scale tips to another side, they put preferences aside. It would be abhorrent if they were not putting the interests of their children first, but how can you safely assume that this is what they are thinking in their minds?

I am sure that arguing with me is a lot easier than arguing with an anti.

You cannot understand the difference between a white woman balancing different characteristics of males within her race and selling out her race completely and openly for money.

Well, you don't demonstrate that the women VIEW it terms of violating group loyalty or they simply choose to ignore aesthetic preference, ie: white vs. black decision becomes nearly the same as tall vs. short or good hair vs. bald.

In the original post you say, "97% of white women actually stated their preference for white men." If the question was, "Would you prefer a white man over a non-white man?" then these questions could be substituted similarly:

Would you prefer a man with a good head of hair over a bald man?

Would you prefer a tall man over a short man?

I'm not convinced here.
