THE TRUTH ADDICTION | 2006-07-12

There are simple, basic principles that, if one sticks to them, lead to profound truths. Today the best known of these is supply and demand. But there are many, many others. After Marx Rousseau built whole systems on the idea that the natural state was equality, only Adam Smith is left standing.

Adam Smith is left standing because he would consider the world view that libertarians built on supply and demand silly.

All he wanted was to tell the truth, that people were better off making money than being regulated by the state. But libertarians make a religion of this.

Libertarians depend on supply and demand to supply them with a God.

A lot of religious people live and die by the idea that evolution is untrue. It makes no difference to me. To the extent that it is true, I will simply factor it in. It fallacies are merely a matter of interest. Theyr eally worry about this. I have no dog in that fight.

So the truth is a very comfortable place to be. If you simply tell the truth, it becomes addictive.

What do I mean by the word "addictive?" I mean it makes me feel good.

I spent years in alcohol and drug recovery. I read the Bible of recovery, the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, and I kept finding things in there that no one who made religion of it had noticed. I began recovery with the required conviction that one had to begin by admitting that one was an alcoholic or an addict. That means that anyone who drinks or drugs too much is chemically dependent on alcohol and/or drugs.

But I discovered that that was NOT what the Big Book SAID. What the Big Book actually said was the opposite. If you actually READ the thing,it makes it clear that for every true alcoholic or addict, there are several drunks and users. These people USE alcohol and drugs, not because they are chemically dependent, but because only drugs and alcohol make them FEEL good.

The Big Book also points out an indisputable fact: It doesn't really matter whether you drink too much because it makes you feel decent or because you are a true alcoholic. If you drink yourself to death, your corpse is indistinguishable from the corpse of a chemically dependent alcoholic. From this those who sell the program conclude that there is no difference between a drunk and an alcoholic. So the program says that if you do not admit you are an alcoholic, you are in denial. That sells recovery programs.

But I am in the comfortable position of not trying to sell recovery programs. Everyone who shouts "Denial" would call himself a Realist.

Meanwile I keep looking for the truth.

I would substitute another idea for the "Denial" nonsense. I would say that the problem is not just the use of alcohol and drugs. The problem is that only drugs and alcohol make people feel better. "Addiction" means an insistence on feeling better.

Let's get down to supply and demand basics: Any moron can HURT you, but it takes talent to make you feel better. Pleasure is costly, pain is cheap. According to Calvinists and the Pope the Gospel had a meaning different from "Good News." Their idea of the Good News was that almost evrybody would spend eternity in an agony they had never before imagined. This is not good news, but it certainly fits in with the world as we know it. God gives out plenty of agony and very, very little joy.

In the recovery program, anything that makes you feel better is a sin. It so happens that this idea of truth is what we mean by Reality. A Realist believed in PAIN. A Realist believes everything is getting worse. Have you ever heard any definition of the word "realist" that did not take this for granted?

Meanwhile out in the real world, Western Civilization and particulary American civilization has driven everybody else's deeply held belief systems out of the way without a bump. In the REAL world, nobody wants the ancient customs of Japan or China or Africa or Traditional Christianity. People want what they LIKE. America keeps pouring out Coca-Cola that they like, movies that they like, music that they like.

This is reality. This is the oppoisite of Realism, but it is reality. One thing that drives people up the wall on both sides is that I keep saying what everybody knows, that a random racial mix is UGLY. People don't want to be ugly.

Silly, isn't it?

But the fact is that this statement is a fundamental reality. The reality is that if a black guy wants a blond, he is evil.

So what is addiction? Addiction is wanting to feel better. Addiction is not a chemical addiction to something that makes you feel better. Addiction is wanting that which relieves you. I am addicted to truth. Let me repeat that Truth is the opposite of Truth. If Truth were the same thing as truth, you would not need the capital letter.

By the same tone, mercy is the oppsite of Mercy. In the Middle Ages, no one would have burned someone slowly to death while holding a cross in their face if they believed in mercy. This was Mercy with a capital M. It was True Mercy, it was the Ultimate Mercy. If you burned a person alive slowly while holding a cross in their face, there was the slightest chance that the victim might confess his sins and be spared Eternal Damnation.

Every civilization that has been negated by the West was based on some kind of Wisdom, some kind of Truth, some kind of Mercy. Nobody wants any of them back. The Indian who makes a living condemning the West does so with an air conditioner and a computer.

So why is it that I am so dedicated to the truth with a small t?

It makes me feel better. It makes me feel superior. It is the reason I have a frontal lobe in the first place. Simple truth violates the first rule of Realism: It makes me feel good. While others try to dig some sort of agony out of the Old Testament, I simply state what is obviously factual.

Jews control what is called American civilization. But they don't understand it. They are destroying theemselves by making Europe a Mosle continent. Eastern Europe hates them. There is nothing complex about this.

I can see what is simply true. Everybody else lives in a world of Realism or Traditional Values or wherever else they may be. I see what is here, what is real. I see the truth.

And if you have a sense of humor, seeing the truth is very entertaining.

The subject is "truth" always attracts my attention and leads me to think of so many things. It is hard to know were to begin.

Bob has provided me with a feast.

During my young Theosophist days we had the motto: "There is no religion higher than truth". I did not take me long to figure out that truth meant "what is from moment to moment" and this obviously can change.

Truth becomes interesting when we enter the domain of Historic Revisionism. I propose that there is such a thing as True Historic Science and that this science is different very different compared to the subject of so-called "History" taught in the Universities. When I was young I was not interested in History. So I studied science and art and how make things with the mind and with the hands. The art of creating out of nothing.

I hold the view that conventional History as it is taught and known by most learned people is a BIG LIE. A host of fantasy stories adapted to suit the world view of those who rule the world and perhaps more importantly for the slaves. And of course I have to get my pet in here. The Jews rule the world.

But this is not about Jews.

So there is in my view such a thing True Historic Science. This Science includes Archeology and many other scientific disciplines. If for example we want to find out what happened to people in the various concentration camps during World War II then we can investigate this scientifically as Germar Rudolf and others have done. And if people object to this then I can only conclude that they are not interested in truth but perhaps have very much to hide.

In our investigation into what is ["truth"] we become aware of 4 aberrations of the mind. These are intrinsic to the mind and we can't eliminate them. We can however be aware of them and of how they function to distort our perception, thinking and expression.

They are Superstition, Identification, Exaggeration and Generalization.

A wise man is not someone who sees the truth always but someone who is aware of these 4 aberrations. All people have them but very few are aware of them.

Dealing with truth becomes very simple if one starts with a correct model. Unfortunately we are not given this model on a platter to begin with. We need to live our life for some time before we mature enough to make this model. Most people never make this model.

The model is very simple and it is rock solid and can be used for solving ANY problem no matter how complex or metaphysical.

There re two Universes. The Universe of Reality [UR] and the Universe of Actuality [UA] the former has many instances as there are brains to generate. The latter has only one instance. In principle none of the UR alone can know or understand the whole of UA. But many UR co-operating over time can make some useful models of various aspects of UA which are important for our species.

Of course UR and UA interact in a circular fashion.

Today there is a tree in the garden. That is not just a tree in UR but also a tree in UA. But tomorrow the tree is gone. Someone had in their UR the idea that the tree should be cut down. So now the tree is not there in UA and I am not just imagining it. What people believe their children should be they make their children become. Therefore what people believe IS IMPORTANT.

It is fairly obvious that people do not act directly on UA but act via UR. Children generally can't tell the difference and identify one with the other. Unfortunately most adults 98% can't either. They mistake their Reality for Actuality.

Once you understand these things then life is relatively simple.

One of the interesting subjects surrounding truth is the lack of adaptation of UR relative to UA evident in most people. People get hurt because they don't adapt. Why not recognize that a model is wrong and change it for a better one? We need good models to orientate ourselves in the world.

If someone accused me of something or other bad, I would simply look at it and determine if it was true or not. I don't have a problem with that. But I don't want to waste my time being judged or having to judge others. I want to do interesting work and change the Universe. To do that I need other people who are genuinely interested in truth AND who are competent in dealing with truth.

Many dealings with truth involve measurements and probabilities. We don't always have all the information to make accurate measurements. Often we have so little information that it would be better not to make models. The models which people make of what they term "God" are certainly all very silly.

I know that other people create most of the misery in the world in which I also live. Life is not so harsh and terrible if people adapted to truth and helped each other. But it is very difficult to get agreement on anything. It is even harder to get people motivated.

Obviously different people including different races need different conditions in order to live healthy lives. There are limits to adaptability. Therefore many different communes and cultures evolve naturally and to force them all together into a super-culture is the action of insane minds.

Beauty is another aspect of truth which is rarely discussed in terms of measurement. There is a superstition that says beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But actually beauty is different. Beauty is not subjective or abstract. The foundation of beauty is the interaction between Reality and Actuality. This is the beauty of process rather than the beauty of a finished object. From this we realize the truth that wrong means can never produce a right end.

Today I find many people who doubt that the Germans such as Werner Von Braun in co-operation with American money, industry, pragmatism and cold war motivation put a man on the Moon. Young people today don't believe it. They don't believe it because they themselves never accomplished anything great. I live in a world of hopeless people. People who don't believe truth is possible. They cannot make the distinction between Reality and Actuality.

What can we do with such people? Should we try and raise them to our level? Or should we avoid them and search for people we do not need to raise to our level?

In the case of Bob I don't have to teach him anything. Bob understands. Bob knows there are MANY solutions to every problem. Bob knows we limit our possibilities by how we formulate our models. Bobs mantra is a demonstration of that.

I see denial as the primary problem. People are in denial there is a Jewish problem. It is too uncomfortable to contemplate. To contemplate that we are slaves to Jews is very disturbing. It can lead to hate which is even more disturbing. And were would we draw the line between a Jew and a Gentile?

There are many other kinds of denial. And there are many escapes into fantasy.

The truth is that all people need and seek comfort, pleasure, some stimulation and adventures and good mental, physical and eroto-sensual health. People need to work and gain some rewards from their community. The idea that we must indulge in self torture in order to be moral is insane. But unfortunately the majority of people believe it. This constitutes insanity and makes their children insane. And so this insanity is propagated. But if I speak this truth I am not liked. People are in denial about all this. For them to realize that they have wasted their entire life is too terrible to contemplate. So they torture their children and kill them in stupid wars.

I don't know if it's an addiction or not but there are a great many people practicing the 12 Steps of AA that are feeling a whole lot better than they ever did before coming into the Fellowship. I must admit, however, I have often thought that this is just a trade of addictions. My opinion is that it is a good trade. The testimony of countless people will confirm that observation. Grateful people. People who slowly learned to become honest with themselves and others. It is true that there is the Real alcoholic and the seriously heavy drinker and that they are not the same thing.

Truth is a philosophical notion that I am not prepared to write about here. It's probably my favorite subject.

Here is something you can use on people who use religious arguments to keep alive someone in irreversible pain and who wants to die: the story of Longinus. If you have forgotten the story, look it up and you will find a Roman Centurion who achieved sainthood because he attempted to cut short a human life in excruciating pain.

Folks's explanations about themselves to themselves is allright as long as it is not a sop for treason.

I like powerful things and BWs mantra is a powerful thing. Nothing has power in the field of influence if it is not remembered. The fact that it is remembered proves its power.

The inability to remember, to remember what is truly important is ruinous. In my town a prominent white man showed up to support one of those free clinics providing care to Mexican children. I told him it was an act of disloyalty. He said: "They're kids for crying out loud!" I said: "There are no exceptions regarding loyality and don't pretend you get a pass". You see, he had a memory problem and needed reminding.
