THE NEW TECH: ALL I KNOW IS THAT I LOVE IT! | 2006-03-05

While you young folks discuss the latest i-pods and interfaces and such, I just sit here cackling senilely at how all my enemies HATE the whole thing.

There is no longer any question today about the simple fact I knew for decades: Dan Rather, Walter Cronkite and all the rest of them hate my race's guts.

Anything they hate has GOT to be good.

And almost daily I hear them bemoaning the decline of what they call "professional journalism."

I don't think I have to explain to readers what the term "professional journalism" is a code word for.

They hate you. They hate your internet. They hate your computers. They hate your faxes. They hate your i-pods.

You've got to be doing something right.

To quote a line from a sitcom, "It's as dead as network TV."

You know how Jews and the group that calls itself The Greatest Generation say that only THEY what SUFFERING is?

Well, you don't know what SUFFERING was if you weren't an intelligent person who lived through the decades when Walter Cronkite's word was The Only True Faith.

And there was a long line of middle-aged guys who called themselves The Youth Culture who were lined up to be Cronkite's successors. They would be the Voices of Network Television.

They dedicated their lives to being tomorrow's Professional Journalists, carbon copies of Edward R. Murrow and Cronkite and Rather.

You took their world away from them, and they moan and they bitch and I LOVE it.

Ole Bob doesn't understand what you are doing, but Ole Bob is all for it.

You can watch videos on the new iPods.

That's right, soon we shall watch Bob play in our hand.

I know this technology is fueling a revolution. Now we can have Bob's Whiticisms whereever we go playing on our ipods etc. It is a historic change. I did not realize that an englishmen was doing the same thing I am doing. Bob you are going to be around a LONG time. A hundred years from now a white kid will be listening to an 'old' BW podcast for his homework assignment on the great early 21st century Aryan revolution. The thing I love about your blog Mr Whitaker is that YOU are arrogant enough to believe that!

One thing to add. The old new technology was PUSH. They pushed out what they wanted. This new technology is PULL. Were we get to pull in WHAT we want and from WHOM!

I can't help but give iPod-wearers funny looks. Every time I look

at someone wearing one I think of Niven's stories about people

hooking their brains up.

I wouldn't mind an iPod. I just can't afford one.

I've been a faithful reader of The Drudge Report for years. I

find he has a good eye for the important stuff.
