THE IMPORTANT QUESTION OF THE SEASON | 2011-12-27
Say, does anybody want some reindeer meat?
Say, does anybody want some reindeer meat?
Uh oh. Has coach finally flipped his lid?
PW, it is fifty years late to ask that question.
Must it be reindeer meat EVERY year after Christmas, and ONLY after Christmas?
I think this was posed as "does anyone know how to cook reindeer meat?" a couple of years ago.
As long as the reindeers were farmed ethically by people who don`t support white genocide.
I'm not too hot on reindeer. Kinda gamey.
But, if you got any of that Beefalo in the freezer, I'll TAKE IT!
Bah...I'm away from Bugs for one day and everyone's gone loopy.
;)
Depends. I draw the line at roadkill.
Roadkill's the best. Naturally tenderized. Maybe you got some that had been sitting out in the sun too long, BGLass! :)
When anyone mentions reindeer meat, I naturally think of the kidneys I used to be able to buy at my local grocery store. My store no longer carries them, so please save the kidneys for me.
What's happened to all the kidneys I used to be able to buy? According to Gordon Duff's article that was much ballyhooed on SF yesterday (yes, I played hookey for a bit and it was very unsatisfying), the kidneys I once enjoyed in such plenitude are now being shipped to China by Israelis inside Patriot missiles.
I wouldn't mind some reindeer sweetbreads either. When I was a kid, we lived in some parts of the country where sweetbreads were a costly delicacy, but in other places the local Piggly Wiggly (is that a still a grocery chain in northern Alabama?) butchers would just toss them out and we got them for free.
I'm up for some pickled reindeers' feet too. And tongue. I'll pass on the eyeballs...I once asked a taco stand owner in Mexico what kind of tacos she had, and the last kind she listed was "eyeballs." One of the few times I turned down a new food. (BGLass, if you're reading this, that roadkill may be sounding pretty good about now?! Lol! :))
I do wish I could have been living off game all these years. I've never forgotten the amazing taste of a wild quail I ate as a child.
After White Genocide is defeated, will there be good food?
Give it a couple of years after we've won and I reckon we'll all be enjoying the taste of dodo burgers and tyrannosaurus soup. Maybe even a big slice of Loch Ness monster pie.
As Horus says, we're the wacky rabbits.
:D
Shari, it's the same meat.
That's why I'm trying to get rid of it now.
Bob, put it out in the road. People will think it's this year's roadkill. (Save the sweetbread and the kidneys).
Are we witnessing the creation of our first tradition, Bob trying after every Christmas to get rid of that reindeer meat he's had forever?
I hope so, because Christmas traditions are my favorite.
Is there some kind of hospice for wild birds nearby? They will take unused game as long as it's not processed
ps I'll take some if it's metaphorical. You are foolin with us aren't you?
Shari, if you get me thinking maybe Bob doesn't really have some reindeer meat, I'm going to feel as bad as when I found out there's no Santa Claus!
Oh I think he has SOMETHING all right.
Reindeer meat - Yummy, yummy.
Send it all over, if you can.
Reindeer is one of my most favorite dishes.
I shot a reindeer buck in August. Shared the tongue with my dog the day before Christmas. :D
Sold most of the meat to my brother, all 60 kg. of it.
He still owes me reindeer dinner......
I can sell it here for up to $40 per kilo if you want me to, coach, no problem.
But there are some regulation about getting mead into Iceland that can be a pain.
Just thinking ahead here. I got some leftover Ant-White arguments (BS) that maybe useful to fertilize the food for next years reindeer.
But it's the same reindeer every year. That's part of the tradition. (You've been here longer than most of us, so I'm surprised you don't know that :)).
Does this mean we are now pro-reindeer genocide?
It's all over for the reindeer, but what counts is that we'll retain reindeer culture by singing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer every Christmas!
