THE ROBERT W. WHITAKER ARCHIVE

THANKS, Z! | 2007-11-05

I highly suggest you all listen to the audio shows Bob made. In just 3 days of listening, I'm already better off. In fact, for new people here, I would suggest that you at least listen to the may 7th, 14th, and 28th shows, before you start posting here. I'm going to start bringing some of the ideas from the shows over to the blog

-- Z

ME:

I need such encoruagement. That's why I stopped dong the Untrained Eye, there was no discussion of it in SF or even here. I get desperately tired of people asking the same old questions I already covered, of having to go back and explain the same old stuff.

My two favorites audios are, The Weakest Generation, and Incurable Fools.

I tried to get my kid sister to listen to them but she is at that age were she thinks she knows everything.

You will also hear the mantra taking shape as you listen to the audios from the earliest to the last.

#2 Lord Nelson | 2007-11-05 14:48

Hey! Come on coach. Lets have more audios.

#3 woundednietzsche | 2007-11-05 15:10

There is definitely something special about listening to Bob speak in his wizened confident manner. He has so many incredible stories and experiences that were lost on everyone else. These talks stick in your head long after listening to them.

They are what led me to BUGS.

Two ideas:

One, have a young lady with an elegant Southern accent read them and record them into mp3 files.

This is Basic Marketing; it's one thing to have the ideas, and another thing to get someone to pay attention.

VNN had someone called "Babycakes" call in and discuss issues on a couple of their FTL radio shows.

I have been playing them for my nephews, and they just pay attention when a well-spoken Southern lady speaks.

Two, are Mind Mapper programs available that might serve to visually represent what is being said. I think Sourceforge has something called FreeMind.

THAT could be merged into a MovieMaker program with the speech being given.

I found it best to listen to Bob's mp3's in the dark, so I can concentrate on what is being said.

These ideas are just other ways to get the ideas out there.

More audios ARE an excellent idea; I am <strike>disheartened</strike> "challenged" at the depth of work that is needed to get The Next Generation to be more conversant with the written word.

Well, its good to see that others are on the same page. One show that really hit me was when Bob pointed out how liberals and "respectable conservatives" like to treat non-whites the same as animals.

Once in a while, a Bobcat will come down from the mountains in Colorado and attack some little kid or family pet. People then complain how we're "knocking down the cats' natural habitat and that its our fault." Once in a while, negros will go on a burning, looting, killing spree. They'll usually pull some White people out of their cars and beat them up. The Whites can be women with children in the car or truck drivers minding their own business. When this happens, Liberals and "Respectable Conservatives" complain that we're "oppressing these people and that this is our fault.

Liberals and "Respectable Conservatives" treat non-Whites like animals. They don't expect them to act like humans (White people) so they excuse them, just like they do with animals. If White men went around pulling blacks out of their cars, Liberals and "respectable conservatives" would be calling for the military to go kill all of these White men.

Thanks - I have all I can do to keep up with just getting Mind Map from sourceforge - if I need anything more, I'll hit you up first!

We have to deal with the new realities of the market we are trying to address. Bluntly, I am truly disheartened at how *ahem* "challenging" it is for my nephews to read and understand anything more complex than, bluntly, the eight grade level - and THAT is being generous.

As they are honors graduates (well, one of them is!) from a Top 100 high school, my horror grows by the minute as I realize what the rest of the country's eighteen year olds must be like.

If you notice, text messaging strongly resembles hieroglyphics, and we are damn near moving to a preverbal state of Consciousness - Child-like, in a world where our competition is becoming exponentially smarter, exponentially faster.

I think of their chances - and, worse, the chances of their heirs - in a world of genetic engineering, and strong AI's, and just cringe in horror.

A lot of unconventional work is needed to address these issues, and I suspect the structure solutions of yesterday will be of little avail.

Some time back, on VNN, I mentioned a waiter I see every couple of weeks at a local restaurant. As a graduate of a well-ranked college in computer science, there really are not words to express his anger at his inability to get a good job a year after graduating.

I told him that Yahoo's chief scientist for search engines, a graduate of IIT Bangalore, is paid what she considers to be a fortune - ten thousand USD a year.

THAT is his competition, and THAT is what his competition is willing - gladly - to work for!

My nephews will need years of, essentially, remedial instruction, and that will have to start with a LOT of visual aids...

PowerPoint, anyone?

We MUST reach them where they are, and not waste time in the impotence of undisciplined anger...

The good news - I have convinced them they are going to have to work twelve hours a day for the rest of their lives, so they had better develop that mindset now, while they have some say in the matter.

#7 El Dudo | 2007-11-06 01:33

I would download them all to my mp3 player if I knew where to find them.

#8 El Dudo | 2007-11-06 02:14

Actually, I found them on whitakeronline.org/townhall.htm

I hope that's the whole collection. It would be great if we could download them all in one shot. I'm using wget right now, but it's not the easiest thing for most people to use.

At any rate... I'm uploading to my mp3 player right now, and I'm really looking forward to listening to all of them.

AFKAN, why should Whites do the jobs that non-Whites can do happily?

I mean if a non-White can do a White's job, doesn't that mean that the job really isn't worth more than $10,000 a year and the White, to earn more, should be making better use of his vast Creativity?

#10 Kenny | 2007-11-06 18:17

Al, I think thats bad logic.

At what point do you stop? We've discussed here that it is a percent of a percent of the population that develops anything revolutionary.

Why should we let non-whites have all the jobs but theirs? Why should we commit economic suicide?

in reply:

Economies, in general, and national economies, in particular, contrary to the self-serving fantasies of the libertarians, do not arise spontaneously out of Chaos.

Advanced economies, which require sophisticated investments, discover the investments in physical infrastructure transform invisible structures, as well. For example, the transcontinental railroad made possible the beginnings of the economies of scale in food production, and the telegraph, its partner, created the mass commodity markets as we know them, all as side effects of the railroad.

All of this requires intelligent, creative people at every stage, who can help Create an explicit reordering out of what is before them as the implicit order changes to reflect the new economic structures.

In short, we develop a national skills set, to complement the Creative mindset of the Western Mind.

This allows our Creativity to work its way through in the Real World, with economies that reflect our inherent Creativity in the fulfillment of a Divine Purpose.

By short-circuiting the development of our national skills set by basic labor arbitrage, we offer our Posterity a future that never moves beyond the marginally skilled laborer.

And marginal laborers don't need sophisticated symbols to communicate, do they?

No.

All they need are pictographs, and hieroglyphics.

This is more serious than many realize.

Toyota chose to expand production in Canada, which is more expensive in direct labor cost than America, because <b>their American workers required having the new machine tools instructions defined as pictographs.</b>

What will our people do in a world of genetic engineering, and strong AI? The words "Malthusian Solutions" come to mind...

Thanks, Al Parker.

in partial reply to El Dudo:

The Whitaker mp3's are missing bob's townhall 050709.mp3, which has a file size of zero, and political cesspool 050530.mp3, which also has a file size of zero.

Perhaps it might prove useful to batch process them into 16k - good for voice, which is all we are doing, and will reduce the folder size to about half of what it is, making it much easier to download. Remember, most of us are on dial-up.

For El Dudo, try Free Download Manager. It will download everything on the page, if you choose that. Just turn it on before you go to bed, and it will have them all done in the morning.

Just some ideas.

The Big Idea is, we MUST reach our Posterity where they are; mp3 works, pictures work, video works, black letters on a white piece of paper seems challenging...

Bob, thanks for all you have done. I am more appreciative than I can say. Talking with my nephews the last several weeks, I have moments where I am suddenly filled with rage at the intellectual gelding that has happened to my nephews.

I do not use the word "rage" casually.

More on that directly.

in reply:

Interesting observation, complemented with Yockey's observation that Race has a Vertical component, as well as a Horizontal component.

"White" is, in essence, necessary, but not sufficient, to drive us back to the Stars.

And, from Joe Sixpack backgrounds came the likes of Edison, Ford, Tesla - the list goes on.

I might argue that when enough White people get together, the soil is prepared for an Implicit Order to manifest.

In the absence of the White people, the Implicit Order falls on, to use the words of Savitri Devi, barren soil.

And she was being nice about it.

I prefer the word "hostile" to "barren."

No White people, no Western Civilization, no development past a very basic level, and no escaping the cycles of materialist destiny.

Thanks AFKAN,

bad link I'm afraid and the cesspool is missing from the server, I'll let SysOp know.

In the meantime, click on the link and wait for it to time out and add www.whitakeronline.org to the link in the address bar and that will get you to the audio

*edit* Dial up?! you can't be serious.. I've tried to compress the audio but that requires a new encoding and that will destroy the already marginal quality.

#17 AFKAN | 2007-11-08 00:51

One, you wrote:

in reply:

Then offer a 16k option, so these can be downloaded while they CAN be downloaded. Additionally, redoing them in the voice of an educated Southern lady goes a long way to compensate for any audio shortcomings....

Two, thanks for the links.

Three, I was very serious when I suggested the Robinson Home Curriculum; I have ordered it for my nephews.

There are all manner of courses available on the Net, but this gives them a common, broad-based foundation that will serve them in good stead.

It can be done at your pace, in your own time, as much or as little as you want.

What we desperately need is a common, cohesive educational foundation for our Posterity; the "bits and pieces" they are getting now effectively neutralizes them into subpotence, at best, and despair spiraling downwards into depression, at worst.

#18 Back Bay Grouch | 2007-11-08 05:42

The audio files are good. Bob might consider redoing them for YouTube and similar sites for posting, a/ka/ outreach. They might have to be broken up to be effective. Ten minutes seems to be the maximum that works in that medium with five minutes being more the norm.

Sound broad descriptions would allow maximum pick up on searches.

Again, as a variant to an above suggestion, a buxom young Aryan woman redoing them might be an audience draw too.

#19 AFKAN | 2007-11-08 18:38

Some quick thoughts:

One, the underwater sound of the old Whitaker recordings seems to be due to a poor implementation of the recording software than anything else. I think he was using something that "worked," but barely.

A lot of VNN's Goyfire's went out at 64k; it was pointed out that it took all damn day to download one, and they went to 24K, and they didn't understand the software settings. 24K gets it OUT there at all, which is one of the main points.

I am not blaming Bob; poorly designed systems (using the wrong type of microphone, for example - SKYPE recommended microphones are the good baseline) require wizardry to work. As the market turns them into commodities, reliability and quality go up, dramatically.

Voice recording software has gone up dramatically in quality since Bob started his Fireside Chats. Look at the tremendous increase in quality with Dragon Naturally Speaking over time...

Having them done over with a clear, educated Southern lady's voice would help get them out, even at 16K.

Two, the 16K limit can be worked around with Free Download Manager. Just press the button "Download Everything" before they go to bed, and there it is.

Three, the Robinson Curriculum is available, used, for $99 USD on eBay, and elsewhere online. The core, Saxon Math books, are also available online.

Four, you have hit the issue with me that literally drives me to rage; phonics instruction is available online, and THIS is the critical foundation I have been working with for my nephews, one of them in particular.

They can barely read.

Most of our writings fall on deaf ears because they fall before blind eyes.

To get to them, where they are, we MUST go to the spoken word, and pictures, as well as using all of the written resources we have.

<b>I am using phonics instruction - a "Hooked on Phonics" type course, and Roberta Pournelle's Reading Program - with a high school graduate</b>, just to make sure a baseline is in place.

There are People who did this to them, deliberately; have I mentioned how much I hate these people?

That's why my Long Term Plan is to focus on developing an Army of Teachers, with the Mindset of Warrior Priests. THAT is the nucleus of a group that could do very will in the framework of a new political party, and WILL do very well, as they develop over time.

The good news about your situation is this:

When you have nothing, you have nothing to lose.

The five hours a day the average American spends looking at the television is YOURS to better yourself with.

We MUST define and create a Common Foundation, and that will take time. Fortunately, time is all that all too many of us seem to have...

I look to the past for Ideas, but too many of us are trying to recover a Past that never really was.

My focus is on laying the Foundation for a brighter, Whiter future; the future that not all White people can create, but ONLY White people can create.

A useful book to read is Michael Flynn's "Firestar." It gives some ideas on the Mindset needed to turn the obstacles we face, into the opportunities they truly are.

And, in part, the source of my rage?

It was when I had my nephews read to me from "Firestar," just to gauge their level of reading and comprehension (while putting a few useful ideas into their heads).

The look of shame in the eyes of the younger one, as he stumbled horribly across words he should have mastered a decade ago will haunt me forever.

Incidentally, I have been using an old copy of WordPerfect to help them along, which has an excellent grammar checker that includes TOOLS - GRAMMATIK - OPTIONS - ANALYSIS.

This includes the Fleisch Readability scores.

When I ask them to write short paragraphs, I run the document through this.

I don't want to tell you the number it comes up with, but they can see it, as well as I.

What they can't see is the look of shame in their eyes.

But I can.

What they also can't see is the rage in my heart. that this state of affairs has been allowed to be.

But I can...

I sympathize with your nephews, my schooling was focused on one thing, standardized testing. The assessment of our outcome based education. Every class revolved around this, and every Tuesday and Thursday for 15-30 minutes we would have to work out of a workbook. Math, Reading, and Science, all middle school level.

We weren't taught how to write a term paper, or anything of length or substance. What we were taught was how to write a 3-5 paragraph response to a random prompt. Spelling really didn't matter, neither did grammar come to think of it.

We are fortunate ignorance can be cured.

#21 AFKAN | 2007-11-08 22:49

Two thoughts, and a thanks!

One, thanks for the reference book on audio. I know nothing whatsoever about it.

Neither does Bob Whitaker, who was put in front of something nobody bothered to set up correctly!

Maybe you could help him with this.

People that use something like RecordPad don't look at the menus too closely, and usually don't understand what it means.

As well, the microphone set-up thing seems rather important. Lavalier mikes matter greatly, but the USB headset mikes SKYPE recommends seem to do just fine.

Two, I suspect you have described the educational model that is responsible for what is wrong with my nephews.

How on Earth can we expect them to compete in the society that is developing before us?

THAT is the real Racial Battle before us...

#22 mderpelding | 2007-11-09 17:53

AFKAN...

I will assume that your nephews are of differing ages. Allow the older to correct the younger in various class assignments. Traditional teaching was always hierarchal. The first child's education was initiated by the parent. The knowledge was then passed down amongst siblings. It's always easy to claim ownership of a difficult idea. But much harder to pass that idea on. This is how we learn.

Government schools have preempted this native learning system.

You may want to Google "John Taylor Gatto".

If you haven't already.

As to getting our message across, remember that our arts have always led the way as far as how we perceive the world.

If you need help with audio files let me know. If I can help with various programs and other tools, let me know.

We will work together.

A note to our webmaster, I would like to publish my e-mail on this post. If some permission is required, let me know. Personally, I have no problem with any poster contacting me. But if some sort of release is required, let me know.

Thank you,

I'm fairly certain Bob's old team knew what they were doing when they helped him with the system.

I'll submit a query into an audiophile forum on good mics. and since my parrot chewed up my headset, I'm in the neighborhood for a new one.

SysOp directed me to this site, it holds quite a lot of information on the school system. http://www.learn-usa.com/

#24 mderpelding | 2007-11-10 01:42

A rule of thumb...

a quick survey of your link reveals the name "Adolf Hitler". Adolf was a product of the system. Still try Gatto.

And yes, in the analog world I'll bet Bob's old team was quite capable.

And...an SM 58 is quite capable of faithfully recording vocals when used properly. But vocals can be recorded by a 6x9 car speaker if so desired.

Or we can use high end condensers.

But in the end, it's all about the "guy turning the knobs", ain't it?

As a recap, when you read the name Adolf Hitler you are most likely dealing with our enemies.

All leftists worship Hitler.
