QUOTE FOR A LOUSY MOOD | 2005-05-24

I am a wordmaster, so I write for you when you are in a good mood and when you are in a bad mood. This is NOT my general attitude. This is a JOKE.

My book team has spoiled me horribly. In my earlier life, I got used to people promising things and not delivering. But I have been dealing with my book team too long, and I had the impression that, like them, other people would promise and deliver.

I discovered that while my team is great, the rest of the world is the same old thing.

After finding that out and while I was in a lousy mood, I came up with a way to express my mood.

When you are in a lousy mood, read this over. I am probably saying what you are thinking.

Here is how you tell your real friends from mere acquaintances:

An acquaintance will be reminded of a promise they didn't deliver on, and they will tell you, "I was busy."

When you remind an old friend of a promise they didn't deliver on, he will say, "I was very, VERY busy."

If you have done someone huge favors and even saved their job, they will say, "You KNOW I would NEVER forget you. But I was very, very, VERY, VERY busy."

I prefer dealing with my enemies.

They just tell me to go to hell.
