IDEOLOGY VERSUS LIVING FREE | 2006-02-17

We are so used to living in an ideological world that we cannot get used to the idea that technology is making it out of date.

Throughout human history and before, we lived where we could make a living. So you were surrounded by people who wanted to live their own way. Some wanted a Leader, some wanted very few restrictions, some wanted the schools to teqach creationism, some evolution.

But they all had to live side-by-side, where their job was or where the good hunting grounds were.

That is going away.

So in the future we will adapt to that.

It took decades before anybody realized that the Industrial Revolution was making a new society and a new politics. We are having the same problem.

If you HAVE to live side-by-side where you make your living, then you have to have a single form of government. That is why you have ideolgies.

But if you do NOT have to live together in the best hunting grounds or near the steel plants, you don't need ideology to live in a place that operates the way you like it.

You just GO there.

We don't NEED ideolgy any more.

So let's get rid of it. Let's stop building our lives around it.

Right now the whole world is living in the past. Everybody is trying to UNITE. Ther European Union and the United Nations are relics of the past.

It will take a long time for people to catch on to this, just as it took generations for ideology to catch up with the Industrial Revolution.

This is a good point. When you have an ideology it tends to get trumped by reality. I want to see a world with apple pie, baseball, intelligent white women, and no government intervention. But that is ideology.

Ideology only gets you so far. You have to make it a reality. Until then you are getting headaches and high bar tabs.

I've observed religous cults over the years and I've noticed that most religous cults have one problem in common: their ideology causes mental/psychological problems which can only be erased by entering reality and shedding all servitude to said ideology. It seems political cults (liberalism, respectable conservatism, socialism, etc.) fare little better, causing a plethora of problems that can only be solved by ditching said ideology for reality. Thank god technology is opening people's eyes to these problems.

Peter, good to have you back, it was too darned quiet while you were gone and I'm just not smart enough to come up with pithy comments on a daily basis.

Derek, from your comments it sounds like you and I are cut from the same bolt of political cloth, which is comforting. At least I'm not the only "crazy" person on the planet.

Well i consider {myself} free. Always have.

No matter the pain or abuse. And i am not a sadist to suffer such abuse! But like foolishly spending too much time under the sun and then suffereing severe sunburn. It happens to us all i suppose.

I realized that i was free a long time ago and that the others that attempted to inflict on me THEIR PSYCHOSIS [based on their ignorance] were badly mistaken.

Point is, here, i did NOT know they were badly mistaken, when i was so young! I simply rejected it becauase of what i now realize were genetic impulses.

Your theory about genetics is RIGHT Bob! I am living proof of that!

I had the worst upbringing possible without a father. What you state in your latest talk is absolutely correct. I am blessed by GENES and not by upbringing! Many who had 1000 times better upbringing than me, self destructed even before i knew about sex and woman. I saw them go down. It was horrible! They had everything i did not have but they were miserable!

I am deadly serious about this Bob!

But i could not proove it when i was very young!

To be able to offer proof you need some minimum of power.

AND it is not the proof, but the freedom to be ABLE to offer the proof! because YOU and I know it IS TRUE!

Our current society and "intellectual community" forbids it!

But the point is, i can proove it now, becauase my "friends" are all now either dead from suicide, drug abuse, horrific marriages, venerial diseases, depression, etc., etc. But {i} survived when i should have been the one to die as a child according to the predictions of the professors !

I do not have any idiology.

I can propose good original ideas which may or may not prove to work for humanity [my ideas would have to be put to the test as any other ideas to determine if they are workable].

But i have learned long a go not to cast my pearls before the swine...

Do as you please and pay the price my brothers but don't ask me to pay for YOUR mistakes - if you do, i may beat you up and kill you "bastards" - THIS has always been my RELIGION.

I think this is good clean RELIGION. I don't lie to you and you know exactly were you stand!

My business is not arguing that you may be wrong but rather trying to show you what IS right for all of us independent of my existance.

Thus i could never claim that {i} was right.

It would be silly to claim i am right that the the Earth is round. The fact that the Earth is round has nothing to to do with my beliefs. True?

The idea that some people are "right" and others are "wrong" makes no sense to me whatsoever! For surely they are ALL wrong!

I am not going to punish, the Chinese for eating Dogs and Female Baby Embrios!

Surely "right" is that Reality [in mind] which is isomorphic with Actuality ["Out there in Universe"].

If you can't measure it, please DO NOT impose on me what is "right" or "wrong"!

Moralism IS superstion.

But there is Ethical Intelligence which is gradualy emerging among a new species of the generic human race. Our most recent evolution.

As usual no one sees it but PGB.

This is the problem of Religion and all the speudo Religions we have nowedays.

I thought more about this subject after reading an excerpt from "Against the Grain". It talks quite frankly about Indo-European culture and forgetting ideologies and focusing on reality. I suppose this is somewhat of a nihilisitic stance (which in itself seems like an ideology) but I think that we should focus on evidence, results, and sciences rather than ideologies.

If you just talk facts it is hard for people to argue. They can voice their opinions, but opinions are not truths without said facts.
