1925 Worked at the Department of Clinical Therapeutics DD Pletnev, trained in Germany
1929 Published a book in: "Hemorrhagic diathesis. Verlgofa disease and similar to its pathological form."
1926-1930 He was the scientific secretary of the Company medical materialists at the Communist Academy. At one time, Levitt shared Lamarckian views. He quickly mastered modern genetics.
TWIN STUDIES
At the end of 1933 studied 600 pairs of twins
Spring of 1934 studied 700 pairs
Spring of 1937 studied 1700 pairs
July 5, 1937 S.G.Levit was removed from the post of director of the CIC. Soon the Institute was closed and most of the staff laid off.
DEATH
December 4, 1936 S.G.Levit excluded from the party for "communicating with the enemy of the people, for dragging hostile theories in the works of the Institute and for Menshevist idealism."
He was accused of signing a letter in support of N.A. Kareva (previously arrested)
He was accused of attempting a meeting "to discredit the work of the beautiful Soviet scientist Lysenko"
January 10/11, 1938, arrested in the middle of the night
May 17, 1938, sentenced to death for terrorism and espionage (he had taken a camera, a dagger, and a typewriter)
May 29, 1938 He was shot
September 5, 1956 exonerated posthumously
